Killzone 3 to feature a split-screen mode??

An image was published from NicaGamerz who is supposed to have a preview build of the third Killzone title suggests that it will allow for a split-screen co-op mode, a function that lacked in the previous entries of the franchise.

Sony Europe didn't release any comments or suggestions concerning the possibility. However, they didn't deny the rumor. Earlier during last E3 in May, president of SCE worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida gave information about Killzone 3's 3D fuction, reporting, "We were going to give players two screens anyway, for some mode ... for some gameplay anyway." Split-screen possibility?? Knowing that Killzone 3 will be in 3D hence the twice render application for 3D effect meaning split-screen could be a reality after all.
