High resolution texture pack out now for Dragon Age 2 PC

Apparently BioWare’s first patch for Dragon Age II isn’t the classic early release patch that targets stability issues and features the typical hot fixes, instead, the developer unleashed more like a little gift for those who purchased the PC version of the RPG – weights a whopping 1.08GB, the pack features high-resolution texture upgrades.

However, BioWare recommends the update for those with beefy GPUs as the hi-res textures will be best observed on DirectX 11-based video cards with latest drivers installed, which in turn enables the “Very High” option.

The upgraded textures will require at least 1GB of video memory - users should meet the game’s recommended system requirements for optimal performance.

I for myself will wait to until I grab a DirectX 11 graphic card, most probably the Nvidia GTX 560 Ti.

EA CEO: ‘We dropped the ball’

Electronic Arts has acknowledged it struggled to cope with the console transition to this generation, admitting that publisher made mistakes the past years. However, The company reckons its back in business and believes it’s now in a better position than it has been for some time.

"Through this last transition to the PS3 era... for a whole bunch of reasons that aren't worth getting into in a short answer, I think it's fair to say we dropped the ball," CEO John Riccitiello said at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference.

This is why EA intentionally leaked Crysis 2

Almost the whole web now knows that the PC version of Crysis 2 has been leaked and is now available almost wide-open for download on torrent servers.

Electronic Arts decided to throw out random accusations for the PC community, and once again they pulled the piracy excuse on that specific platform, seeking true fan’s support.

The reason why I think EA deliberately leaked the Crysis 2 PC beta is; if you search Crysis 2 on Google, first results will be EA’s website, second query is the “Crysis 2 leaked” blog title on the publisher's webpage. Well here is the biggest puzzling question.
